The rights body simultaneously urged to bring the culprits who were involved with the heinous crime before the book after identifying them with a quick and impartial investigation by judicial body.
According to news published on different newspapers as well as information received from reliable source, on 8th January 2023, Ambail village of Bhavanipur union of the Sherpur upazila was attacked by Solaiman Ali with his team of the same village to seize the ancestral land of Santosh Singh.
Later, two days after this incident, on the morning of 11th January, the attack was carried out by preaching on the microphone of the village mosque.
Around thirty men and women of ethnic minority communities were injured. Currently they are undergoing treatment at Shaheez Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital (SZRMC&H) in Bogura.
After this two-pronged attack, the ethnic minority indigenous peoples are in a state of insecurity. They are unable to leave the house due to terrible fear. They (indigenous) can’t go to work as a result. They have been living an extremely inhumane life in such conditions.
Founder secretary general of JusticeMakers Bangladesh and prominent human rights lawyer Shahanur Islam has strongly condemned and expressed anger over attack on the people of ethnic minority indigenous communities at Bogura.
He has also demanded for ensuring security of life and property of the ethnic minority indigenous people in Bogura.
Furthermore, he has urged for ensuring their land rights and adequate treatment and safety of those who were injured due to attack.
Beside this, he asked to stop forced occupation of homesteads and crop lands of ethnic minorities ensuring their land rights.
Finally, Advocate Shahanur Islam urged to protect rights of the ethnic minority indigenous people enacting Law of protection of indigenous people rights as well as recognize the indigenous people in constitution.

সঙ্গে মানবাধিকার সংস্থাটি উক্ত জঘন্য অপরাধের সঙ্গে জড়িত অপরাধীদের দ্রুত বিচার বিভাগীয়
নিরপেক্ষ তদন্তের মাধ্যমে চিহ্নিত করে আইনের আওতায় আনার আহ্বান জানিয়েছে ।

পত্রপত্রিকায় প্রকাশিত সংবাদ ও নির্ভরযোগ্য সূত্র থেকে প্রাপ্ত তথ্য অনুযায়ী জানা
যায় যে, গত ইংরেজী ৮ জানুয়ারি ২০২৩ সালে শেরপুর উপজেলার ভবানীপুর ইউনিয়নের আমবাইল
গ্রামে সন্তোষ সিংহের পৈতৃক জমি দখলের জন্য একই গ্রামের সোলায়মান আলী তার দলবল নিয়ে
হামলা চালায়।
এ
ঘটনার দুই দিন পর ১১ জানুয়ারি সকালে গ্রামের মসজিদের মাইক্রোফোনে প্রচার করে সংখ্যালঘু
আদিবাসীদের উপর হামলা চালানো হয়। উক্ত হামলায় আদীবাসি সম্প্রদায়ের ত্রিশজন নারী-পুরুষ আহত হয়েছে। বর্তমানে তারা বগুড়ার
শাহীজ জিয়াউর রহমান মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে (এসজেডআরএমসিএন্ডএইচ) চিকিৎসাধীন রয়েছে।
এই
হামলার পর জাতিগত সংখ্যালঘু আদিবাসীরা নিরাপত্তাহীনতায় ভুগছে। ভয়ে তারা ঘর থেকে বের
হতে পারছে না । ফলে তারা (আদিবাসী) কাজে যেতে পারছে না। এমন পরিস্থিতিতে তারা চরম অমানবিক
জীবন যাপন করছে।

বাংলাদেশের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা মহাসচিব ও বিশিষ্ট মানবাধিকারকর্মী ও আইনজীবী শাহানুর ইসলাম
বগুড়ায় জাতিগত সংখ্যালঘু আদিবাসী সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষের ওপর হামলার তীব্র নিন্দা ও
ক্ষোভ প্রকাশ করেছেন।
এক
প্রেস বিবৃতিতে তিনি বগুড়ার সংখ্যালঘু আদিবাসীদের জানমালের নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করারও
দাবি জানিয়েছেন।এছাড়া তিনি উক্ত হামলায় আহতদের পর্যাপ্ত চিকিৎসা ও নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত
করার আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন। পাশাপাশি তিনি জাতিগত সংখ্যালঘুদের বসতভিটা ও ফসলি জমি জোরপূর্বক
দখল বন্ধ করে তাদের জমির অধিকার নিশ্চিত করার আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন।
সবশেষে
আদিবাসী অধিকার সুরক্ষা আইন প্রণয়ন করে জাতিগত সংখ্যালঘু আদিবাসীদের অধিকার রক্ষার
পাশাপাশি তাদের সাংবিধানিক স্বীকৃতি প্রদানের জোড়ালো আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন অ্যাডভোকেট শাহানুর
ইসলাম।
