The JusticeMakers Bangladesh gravely concerns over the incident of viciously attacked on lawyer Abdur Rashid Mollah at Dhaka on 14 January 2023.
JusticeMakers Bangladesh simultaneously called the government for arrest the all accused culprits and ensure the exemplary punishment after quick and impartial investigation and trail.
According to information received from the reliable sources that Advocate Abdur Rashid Mollah, formar general secretary of Jatiyatabadi Samajik Sangskritik Sangstha (JASAS) and current joint secretary of Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Foroum, Dhaka unit was suddenly attacked with sharp deadly weapon by a group criminal on 14 January 2023 around at 6:45 am at his own village and he was grievously injured including his head. Later he was admitted to Mitford hospital, Dhaka for treatment.
Founder Secretary General of JusticeMakers Bangladesh and prominent human rights lawyer Advocate Shahanur Islam strongly condemned the incident of attcked on lawyer and urged to ensuring full security to the victim lawyer and his family.
Shahanur Islam thinks, attack on lawyer Abdur Rashid Mollah is not an isolated incident in Bangladesh, rather attack, threats , death treats, murder, abduction of lawyers are widespread around the country.
Due to currying out professional duty, attack, threats , death treats, murder, abduction of lawyers are clear violation of fundamental human rights and threats to independence of profession lawyer, Mr Shahanur Added.
